Disorders of Growth (Tall & Short Stature)

Ques: Who is short?
A child is considered to be short if his/her height is below the average height of children for that age and sex.

Ques: How do I know my child is short?
To know whether your child is short, we need to plot his/her height on a growth chart (Normative age, sex and population specific data eg. IAP 2015 growth charts). Everytime child is visiting his/her pediatrician, his/her weight & height should be plotted on the growth chart.
